Some of the hardware of the thumblogger server will be upgraded tomorrow (Friday, 07/13/07) somewhere between 2am – 4am CDT (which is 8am to 10am GMT). The upgrade will likely take less then 30 minutes.
I will post a message when the exact time is known.
It will hopefully make the thumblogger server even more faster!
Why don’t you do both?
Use wordpress on your own hosting and use thumblogger and the powerful sub project/tools to create a couple extra blogs for your blog network.
Using thumblogger doesn’t mean you can’t use wordpress and using wordpress doesn’t mean you can’t use thumblogger.
And if you are looking for free wordpress hosting then you should take a peek at sensualwriter . It is a less flexible compared to thumblogger but gallery2blog also supports sensualwriter since a few days.
The block list with webmasters who blogs aren’t accepted at the Blog Submitter has grown again. But it seems that some webmasters get really upset because they didn’t know that the rules needed to be followed that closely. :fanning:
That is why the Blog Submitter will now send a couple warning emails to the webmaster when a certain rule is broken. After a certain amount of warnings the webmaster is blocked and all submitted blogs are removed.
The advantage of this is that you as webmaster will always get a chance to follow the rules better and to do more honest business.
I’m afraid you can’t change the html template. But you can override the css stuff by creating a Text Widget and entering the css, for example:

I’m afraid that only normal ftp is supported. But you can limit your ftp access to the ip address of the myfeedlist server, this way only the myfeedlist server will be able to upload something to your ftp server.
The porkolt flash player seems to be badly programmed/made. It seem to make a extra request to the server when a player is displayed. This means that when you have 30 players on the frontpage, 1 single visit of a surfer generates a whopping 36 requests to the server instead of the normal 1 request.
I would suggest you try contacting porkolt to see if they can fix their player. The extra requests all have the word “undefined” in it, which is often caused by not correctly written javascript/flash code.
Blog Post Builder will sometimes give you this error, it happens when you remove the settingscontext.dat file. The solution is quite simple:
Try going to you thumbs folder in the blog post builder folder and delete all the files in the thumbs folder.
You can also open “settingscontext.dat” and change the following line to:
integer_imgid=1000
That should fix it
Yup, i’ve finally got everything working. :jitters:
40 new categories are added to the blog directories and the blog submitter now fully supports these categories.
